The MoQuality Developer Hub

Welcome to the MoQuality developer hub. You'll find comprehensive guides and documentation to help you start working with MoQuality as quickly as possible, as well as support if you get stuck. Let's jump right in!

Get Started

Writing test scripts is challenging. With our visual test editor, you can create, edit and run automated UI tests for native mobile apps.

To create tests locally, you will need the following:

MQ Agent

Install the mq-agent locally. The agent enables communication between a device and our visual test editor. See the section on Install Agent.

Set up a local device

MoQuality's test editor relies on Appium. So set up any Appium dependencies needed on your local machine. If you want to install Appium, you can follow our instructions here or Appium's Getting Started page.

Configure an Android or iOS device with your app installed. See the sections for Setting up Android or Setting up iOS for additional information.

With this configuration, you should be able to initialize Appium and run tests on that device.

Add the App

You will have to upload the app to the MoQuality Dashboard and install it on the local device you are going to use to create tests.

Start Agent and Appium

Start the mq-agent and appium with the following

mq-agent & appium --log-level warn

Create a Test

Check out a step-by-step guide to creating a basic test in our How-To guide.
